Larry Page

Larry page was born March 26th, 1973. He earned a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He then aimed to earn a PhD at Stanford, this is where he met his future business partner, Sergey Brin. The two of them later created the Google search engine. Google was unique because it used a page-ranking system which optimized search results. It was this unique trait that shaped the current day internet. This trait was called the PageRank formula and it determined the importance of websites by calculating the number of links to other websites. The rule of thumb was the more the site was linked to other sites, the more important the site was. Larry page invented Google and the Page Rank algorithm which were two huge contributions to the world of computer science.
